I. TRADITIONAL LOADING

If one tooth has been extracted or is due for extraction, a single implant can be used to replace the missing tooth. This restores the function of the extracted tooth and avoids damage to the adjacent teeth.

STEP 1 - EXAMINATION AND TREATMENT PLANNING
A thorough examination by our team of specialists will determine if the foundation is suitable to receive an implant. A solid foundation is of paramount importance as this ensures that the implant can last for a long time.

STEP 2 - IMPLANT PLACEMENT
Once the foundation for implant is ready, a titanium-alloy implant is inserted gently. The implant is allowed to heal without placing any load on it. A temporary restoration may be placed. During the healing period of 2 to 4 months, the bone is allowed to heal around the implant.

After the healing period, a second stage procedure is performed to expose the implant and place an abutment. The abutment covers the implant and extends through the gums. In cases where aesthetics is important, a temporary crown may be placed to shape the gums.

STEP 3 - CROWN PLACEMENT
The final stage involves placement of the crown over the implant. Each crown is custom-made by our in-house ceramist.
The crown is made to match to the neighboring teeth as close as possible so as to achieve a good esthetic outcome.
